Your heating and air conditioning system should be inspected at least once a year to help avoid unexpected breakdowns.
How often should I change my filter?
All the air in your home circulates and recirculates through the same filter attached to your indoor unit. Air filters are designed to remove dust particles to keep the air you breathe clean. But as filters become clogged, your air conditioning and heating system work less efficiently and cost you more to operate. If left unchanged long enough, your system could fail completely.
Changing your central air conditioning unit’s air filter at least once every six months will not only help you save on your monthly bills but also will help extend the life of your system. Changing the filter every three months is even better.
When should I have my AC system serviced?
You should have a regular HVAC tune up (one AC tune up, one furnace tune up) twice a year, typically at the beginning of each heating and cooling season, to ensure that your system is working efficiently before the weather gets too hot or too cold. However, maintenance may be scheduled at any time.

Jorge (George) and David arrived promptly and explained everything they would be doing. We had a smart switch installed for our outdoor lighting. Jorge had me download the app while he quickly installed the switch. He then walked me through … More the pairing and made sure I knew how the app worked. While Jorge was installing the smart switch, David was replacing our Soffit lights with colored app controlled LED lights. Once the soffit lights were installed, Jorge had me download the app for the lights, walked me through the pairing process and made sure the lights all got paired. He then walked me through how the app works and showed me some of the different features.
I was very pleased with the amount of time Jorge took in making sure I was comfortable with how everything worked. He made sure I was 100% satisfied with the work before leaving.
Jorge and David were very quick and left my home as they found it. They were friendly, polite, and very knowledgeable.
I would definitely recommend them and Mighty Mike's to anyone needing work done. We know who we will be calling the next time we need electrical, plumbing, or HVAC work done.
